DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed mixed trend in early hours of trading on Wednesday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over 6.79 points or 0.14 per cent to 4704.30 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:29am.
Trade deals stood at 42557 with volume of transactions at Tk 1874.03 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 115 advanced, 100 declined and 51 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 200.25 million changing hands till then followed by ACTIVEFINE, EMERALDOIL, DACCADYE, ITC and ALLTEX.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index dropping 14.07 points to 8722.36, also at 11:24am.
Of the issues traded till then, 66 gained, 67 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
