Stocks end lower Wednesday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 27.99 points only to stand at 4669.51 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 159727 with volume of transactions at Tk 6699.59 million.

Of the issues traded, 99 advanced, 194 declined and 34 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 415.34 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, ACTIVEFINE, EMERALDOIL, ALLTEX, SQURPHARMA, ITC, BDTHAI, REGENTTEX and GENNEXT.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8678.68 by dropping over 57.75 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 58 gained, 159 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
