Question leakage: BG press staff held with Tk 28 lakh recovered

DHAKA: Police detained an employee of BG Press Monday for his alleged involvement in the leakage of question paper of the recruitment examination for Assistant Teachers of Government High Schools.

The detained suspect was identified as Mohammad Abdul Jalil of Gaibanda district. Tejgaon Thana police also recovered Tk 28 lakh from his possession

Sub-inspector of Tejgaon police station Sahabuddin Azad told banglanews24.com.bd, “Police conducted a raid on BG press from noon to evening and picked up Jalil.”

A case was filed with Gangachhara police station of Rangpur after question paper was leaked on July 8.

The test for recruitment of assistant teachers for public high schools was scheduled to be held on July 9 across the country. But, it was suspended on June 8 for the leakage scandal.

A case was filed with Gangachhara police station in this connection and 160, including two government officers, were rounded up. Education Ministry formed a three-member probe committee in this connection.
