The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh, Syed Ahmed Maroof on Sunday (Dec 22) hosted a dinner at Pakistan House in Dhaka, in honour of the Ghazal Icon, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is in Dhaka for the 'Charity Concert' organized by students of Dhaka University and the Opening Ceremony of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

According to a press release, the dinner evening was graced by legendary actress Shabnam (Jharna Basak), celebrated Singer Shakeela Khurasani, Advisor to the Interim Government for Cultural Affairs, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, who is also a renowned Bangladeshi filmmaker, Mr. Sarjis Alam, Students leader and General Secretary of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, students of the Charity Concert’s organizing committee and other eminent persons.

The High Commissioner expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests for transforming the evening into a vibrant gathering enriched by the presence of renowned artists and eminent personalities. 

He extended special thanks to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and his team for visiting Dhaka and enthralling his vast fanbase in Bangladesh with his majestic performances. 

The guests shared a delightful evening, celebrating the artistic and cultural connections between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
