Two dengue patients died and 922 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours till Saturday (Oct 22) morning.

In the 24 hours, 529 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 402 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 2,328 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 1,076 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 30,029 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 26,513 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 112 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today. 

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
