Dengue: 7 die, 875 hospitalised in last 24 hours

Seven dengue patients died and 875 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours till Sunday (November 07) morning.

In the 24 hours, 497 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 378 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,980 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 1,290 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 43,982 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 40,535 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 177 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
