Five dengue patients died and 820 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Tuesday (Nov 08).

In the 24 hours, 450 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 370 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,947 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 1,276 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 44,802 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 41,397 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 182 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today. 

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
