Bangladesh today confirmed 28 deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 7,559.
According to the Health authorities, 1,014 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 513,510.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.
As 1,389 patients have recovered in last 24 hours, the number of total recoveries reached 457,459, it also said.
A total of 3,227,598 samples have been tested so far with 13,254 samples tested in 180 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country in last 24 hours, the release added.
Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 while first death on March 18.
