Bangladesh today confirmed 52 deaths from coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 9,318. 

According to the Health authorities, 7,075 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 644,439. 

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

In the last 24 hours, 2,932 patients were declared free of Covid-19 during the same period, raising the total number of recoveries to 555,414, the release added.

Meanwhile, 30,239 samples were tested in 227 labs across the country in the past 24 hours.

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 in last year while first death on March 18 in that year.
