Bangladesh on Wednesday recorded 40 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours raising the number of total fatalities to 12,045.

Besides, 1,140 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 7,77,397.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

In last 24 hours, 15,296 samples were tested in 459 labs across the country.

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 in last year while first death on March 18 in that year.
