Bangladesh on Wednesday (Aug 18) recorded 172 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours raising the number of total fatalities to 24,619.

Besides, 7,248 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 14,40,644.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 in 2020 while first death on March 18 in that year.
