India recorded 26,041 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the active caseload to 2,99,620 - the lowest its been in 191 days. 

Active cases currently account for only 0.89 per cent of the total Covid cases in India.

India also reported 276 fresh deaths.

There have been 29,621 recoveries in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 3,29,31,972. The recovery rate currently stands at 97.78 per cent.

There have been 38,18,362 vaccinations in the past 24 hours, taking total vaccine doses administered till date to 86.01 crore.

22,69,42,725 people have received both doses of the vaccine so far. This represents 24% of the eligible population (94.4 crores) and 16.3% of the total population (139 crores).

11,65,006 Covid tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours; the total tests conducted so far stand at 56.44 crore.

The weekly positivity rate, at 1.94 per cent, has been less than 3 per cent for the last 94 days, while the daily positivity rate, at 2.24 per cent, has been less than 3 per cent for the last 28 days.
