Dengue: 21 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 21 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning (June 24), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 

In the 24 hours, 16 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, five dengue patient was admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 102 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while eight other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 885 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 774 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, one died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka on June 21 this year.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
