Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute (BEHRI) on Thursday (June 30) conducted operations on 35 poor ophthalmic patients for free to return visions to them.

BEHRI, a healthcare venture of the country’s largest business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, conducted operations to 9 male and 26 female patients who hailed from Chapainawabganj.

Of them, 31 patients underwent operation for cataract problem and three for pterygium ailment and one for ocular.

A Patient Duli Begum said, the doctors and nurses here are providing very good services with free treatment. Besides, I pray for this hospital for helping people like us who can get treatment for money.

Hospital Manager Mohammad Ahsan Habib said around 1,400 patients have so far received free surgeries from the hospital.

General Secretary of Medical Assistance Center, Chapainawabganj and Camp Chief Mohammad Aminul Islam said that so far “I have treated 203 patients from here. 

Bashundhara Eye Hospital has impressed with the sincerity and treatment of the patients. We have brought a team of 5 people and today 35 patients are being operated for free, said Aminul Islam, adding, On behalf of myself and my organization, I would like to express my gratitude to the Honorable Chairman, MD and Vice Chairman of Bashundhara Group.
