Dengue: 61 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 61 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning (July 27), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 

In the 24 hours, 58 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, three dengue patients was admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 215 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 61 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 2,366 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 2,047 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, eight died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka till July 27 this year.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
