Dengue: Two die, 437 hospitalised in last 24 hours

Two dengue patients died and 437 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Thursday (Sep 22).

In the 24 hours, 306 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 131 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,183 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 346 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 12,875 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 11,298 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 48 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today. 

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
