DHAKA: Indian novelist Arundhati Roy’s talk will now be held at Midas Centre in city’s Dhanmondi instead of at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh.
The talk is scheduled begin at 6:00 pm on Tuesday (March 5).
The registered participants are requested to come half an hour earlier, according to the organizer Chobi Mela.
Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) postponed the talk at Krishibid Institution in Farmgate area of the capital citing ‘unavoidable circumstances.’
Booker Prize-winning writer will talk about India-Pakistan tension and current political situations of Kashmir.
Arundhati Roy is due to attend a function organized by Chobi Mela.
Her debut novel ‘The God of Small Things’ had won Man Booker Prize for Fiction in 1997.
