DHAKA: Khelafat-e-Islami Bangladesh Amir Maulana Abul Hasanat Amini, also vice chairman of Islami Oikya Jote urged the government to arrest the prime mover of anti-Islamic activities within the country Nurul Islam Babul, chairman of Jamuna Group.
Otherwise, they will be compelled to announce stern movement programmes, including countrywide hartal.
The leader of party came up with the plea in a statement sent to different mass media.
He said that the business of alcoholic drinks and beers, forbidden by Islam, won’t be tolerated within the country of in Muslims country.
Amini also said, “It is a religious duty for all Muslims to avoid all his organizations, including Jamuna Future Park, Marriott Hotel and products from Babul’s companies.”
The release added that Nurul Islam Babul has hurt the religious sentiment of the country’s Muslims by building his Jamuna Future Park over the rubbles of a graveyard within Dhaka, a city known as ‘City of Mosques’ around the country.
Amini urged the government to arrest Babul otherwise, he warned, the Islamic scholars of country will be forced to call for stern movements on the roads against him.
On November 1, as a part of a continuous protest against the anti-Islamic activities of Jamuna Group, thousands of leaflets were distributed in more than 50 mosques, including Baitul Mukarram, of the capital after the Jummah prayer of Friday.
Hundreds of pious Muslims distributed these leaflets under the banner of ‘Sommilito Islami Janata’.
After reading the leaflets, devotees expressed their deep hatred and said they won’t tolerate the business of alcoholic drinks of Nurul Islam Babul in the country.
