DHAKA: Hefazat-e-Islam has announced a grand rally at city’s Shapla Chattar implementing their 13 points demand along with removal of Qawmi Madrasa regulation initiatives for November 15.
Meanwhile, the tension arose as Tarikat Federation also announced a rally at same venue and same time demanding ban on Jamaat-e-Islam and an all-party interim government.
Tarikat Federation general secretary MA Awal confirmed the matter to banglanews on Sunday.
He said, “We announced the pogramme for a strong election commission and a ban on anti-liberation force on November 15.”
In response to a query, the Tarikat leader said, “The activists of Jamaat and Shibir, under the banner of Hefajat, rampaged the national mosque, burnt Al-Quran and created anarchy in the city on May 5.”
He added: “We are suspecting that they are plotting to create anarchic situation on November 15.”
However, Hefajat-e-Islam threatened to call indefinite strike across the country if their grand rally is barred by any means.
