Muhith rigid for all-party govt

DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Monday categorically said the government is thinking no other option but all-party interim government during polls.

“We will hold dialogue with the opposition parties for consensus but nothing will happen but all-party polls-time government,” he said.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker came up with the assertion while talking to journalists after a cabinet meeting at the secretariat in the city.

Muhith also told the journalists that nothing would be finalized before Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returns home on November 17 after visiting Sri Lanka.

He said the chief of the polls-time government would be made from the ruling party.
