PATUAKHALI: Over 500 BNP and its front organization activists were sued after a fierce clash with Awami League at Rangabali upazila under the district on Tuesday.
Cchotobaishdiya union Awami League President Kalam, also UP member, filed the case as plaintiff.
In the case, union BNP President Sajedul Islam Selim and Upazila general secretary Rahman Master was made the prime accused.
Sources said BNP and Awami League activists locked into a fierce clash while preparing for processions near Baherchar Bazar of Rangabali upazila on Monday amid 18-party called 60-hour nationwide hartal, leaving 35 people injured.
Officer-in-Charge of Rangabali Thana Masuduzzaman told banglanews that police arrested two BNP activists in this connection.
