DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not attend the Thursday’s Suhrawardy rally marking the national revolution and solidarity day.

She is set to address the rally through video-link in afternoon, says BNP chairperson’s press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel.

He said that Khaleda Zia’s address will play through projector at the venue of November 7-rally which is set to start at around 2:00pm.

The leader of the opposition, in her video speech, will urge her party men to keep active role in ongoing demonstration demanding election-time non-party caretaker government, he added.

From the rally, the party may declare fresh agitation programme, said sources concerned.
