DHAKA: In the latest development, opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance decided to enforce a 84-hour nonstop hartal (shutdown) across the country from Sunday morning to press home their demand of non-partisan polls-time government.
BNP Join secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed made the announcement of hartal extension in a press conference at BNP`s Nayapaltan central office on Saturday morning.
On Friday, Acting Secretary General of BNP Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a press conference at Chairperson’s Gulshan office in the capital declared 72-hour hartal from Sunday morning.
