CHANDPUR: Home Minister MK Alamgir categorically said those who won’t participate in the next general polls are enemy of the country, democracy and Constitution.
He came up with the assertion to the journalists in Kachua upazila of the district on Friday.
MK Alamgir said: “Constitution is the fundamental formula of democracy. It has clearly said to hold election within a due time. The election would be held as per directives of the Constitution after five years tenure of the government.”
The Veteran politician also said: “A party or a person may not participate in the election, but this is their wish. But all-out steps would be taken if a party or a person takes step to obstruct the polls.”
Executive engineer of LGED Mohsin Ahmed, Kachua Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zia Ahmed Sumon and UP Chairman Osman Goni Molla among others were present on the occasion.
