DINAJPUR: Workers Party of Bangladesh Chairman Rashed Khan Menon on Saturday said BNP leaders were arrested to prevent hartal across the country called by the opposition.
The lawmaker came up with the observation in a view exchange meeting with journalists at Dinajpur Press Club in the noon.
He also opined that there was no way for the government to control the hartal but to be strict.

The veteran politician also said that the Prime Minister invited the opposition leader for talks but they do not want talks.
Polit Boureau member Mahmudul Hasan Manik, president of Dinajpur Workers Party Mosaddek Hossain Labu, city Awami League president Anwarul Islam and president of Dinajpur Journalist Union Azharul Azad Jewel were among others present at the view exchange meeting.
