SATKHIRA: A Shibir leader was killed and 12 others, including police, were injured in a clash with police in the district on Sunday afternoon.   

The deceased was identified as Aminur Islam, general secretary of district Chhatra Shibir unit.           

The incident took place around 4:00pm beside Kamalnagar graveyard in the town.        

Sources said at least 12 people, including police personnel, were injured in the clash when Jamaat-Shibir men were sitting a secret meeting.      

Police recovered two revolvers from the spot after clash.    

Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Inamul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
