LAXMIPUR: An Awami League activist was shot dead by miscreants at Ramganj upazila in the district on Monday afternoon.   

The deceased was identified as M Saiful, 35, resident of Korpara union of the upazila.  

Ramganj Thana officer-in-charge Lokman Hossain said, “Saiful was shot injured at Korpara in the afternoon and he succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.”
