DHAKA: BNP Vice-Chairman Abdullah Al Noman on Tuesday claimed that the fascist government has illegally grasped the power. 

The senior leader of the party came up with the assertion while addressing a human chain program held in front of the National Press Club in the morning.

Noman said, according to the constituency, the government is bound to ensure the fundamental rights of citizens but depriving the voting rights of people some 153 unopposed elected member of the parliament claimed themselves as the Members of Parliament.

The Vice-Chairman said, “We (BNP) and people of Bangladesh don’t accept them as members of the parliament.”

With Dhaka Chhatra Dal President Rezaul Kabir Paul in the chair, the human chain demo was also addressed, among others, by BNP Law Affairs Secretary Barrister Zia and Student Affairs Secretary Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie.
