LAXMIPUR: A Juba Dal activist was shot dead by some unidentified miscreants at Laxmipur Sadar upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ripon, 22, an activist of Mandari union, son of Helal Uddin, hailed from Baintola village of Dakkhin Mandari union of the upazila.

Family sources said that local terrorist group Shahjahan and his gang called the victim on Thursday night. And from then Ripon remained missing.

Later, the body of the victim was found on Friday around 9:00am in the area.

Laxmipur Sadar Thana Sub-Inspector Shahjahan confirmed the matter told banglanews.
