DHAKA: Blaming Awami League government is conducting abduction, killing and torture in the country, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia urged the countrymen to raise movement against the government and its wrongdoings.     

She was addressing a mass hunger strike programme organized by Dhaka city BNP at the National Press Club on Sunday afternoon.     

Terming the incumbent government illegal, she said, “We do not think that it is a government rather it is an illegal government and it is committing all illegal works in the country.”    

Khaleda added: “The government supported goons are operating all illegal works, including kidnapping, disappearance and killing and the illegal government does not control them.”   

The former premier of the country pointed figure to a special force of government behind the kidnap and killing incidents in recent days, including Narayanganj City Corporation panel mayor Nazrul Islam.  

Khaleda also claimed that Narayanganj turned into a ‘Death Valley’ as ruling party-men are involved in kidnapping and killing.  

The BNP chief demanded exemplary punishment of the adductors and killers across the country.    

She claimed there is no independent judiciary in the country and judges cannot deliver verdict without any interference of the government.      

Khaleda urged people to extend support to BNP as it stands beside of the people in there worse days.   

She also said Awami League does not love the country. They do not want development and it wants to destroy Bangladesh.  

“Arrange a fair and neutral election soon under the supervision of caretaker government. Otherwise, BNP will wage tougher movement to topple the illegal government,” she said forewarning the government,
