DHAKA: Shamim Osman, lawmaker of Narayanganj-4 constituency, claimed that activists of Chhatra League are leaders, not goons.

He came up with the claim while addressing a rally at Narayanganj Sanarpar organized protesting killings of seven people, including panel mayor Nazrul Islam.

Expressing discontent over recent killings in his town, he asked everyone for their opinion whether he should quit politics or not.

Shamim Osman said: “Chhatra League activists are not goons, they are leaders and Nazrul was also a leader.”

Mentioning Nazrul, his brother Shamim Osman told that those who killed Nazrul, also attacked him to break his hands.

The Awami League lawmaker disclosed the audio record over planning, kidnapping and killing of those seven people, including Narayanganj City Corporation panel mayor Nazrul Islam within a very short time.
