DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will visit Narayanganj to meet the families of the city's slain panel mayor Nazrul Islam and six others on Wednesday.

Sources said BNP has a plan to hold rally to express solidarity and sympathy to the bereaved family members if administration permitted. Otherwise, BNP will not hold any rally during the visit of Khaleda Zia. 

Regarding the matter, BNP sought permission to Narayanganj City Corporation and administration twice but they are yet to get permission to stage the rally, said BNP central assistant Law affairs secretary Advocate Toimur Alam Khandakar.

On the other hand, a BNP delegation led by ASM Hannan Shah visited Narayanganj on Thursday.
