DHAKA: Law enforcers and Democratic Bam Morcha activists locked into a scuffle when the activist tried to break police barricade in front of secretariat on Monday noon.
The organizations declared besiege programme at the secretariat, demanding to press home the demand of payment of Tuba Group workers’ arrears.
Later, facing police barrier, they took position there and started slogan.
Following the matter, police beefed up security measures in the area.
Earlier, the activists of Bam Morcha thronged near to the secretariat around 11:00 am after holding a rally at National Press Club on Monday.
However, the law enforcers were deployed in the area to avert the besiege program.
Meantime the workers of Tuba group and their fellows and activists of Democratic Bam Morcha gathered in the area to stage their demo.
Seeking anonymity, a sub-inspector in National Press club area said that police are ready to resist the program if the activists try to create anarchy.
