CHITTAGONG: The deposition of the much-talked-about case against the Hefazat-e-Islam Nayeb-Ameer Mufti Izhar and his son Harun Izhar deferred to September 3 from Tuesday (August 5).

Acting judge of Chittagong Session Judge Court Zannatul Ferdaus, for the second time, fixed the date of deposition on Tuesday.

On September 7, five students were injured, later two of them died under treatment, in a blast at Lalkhan Bazar Madrasa.

Madrasa authorities demanded the blast was from laptop charger.

The director of the madrasa was Hefajat-e-Islam Nayeb-e-Amir Mufti Izharul Islam who was allegedly connected with Osma Bin Laden.

Meanwhile, police, in a drive, recovered four fresh grenades and huge materials of preparing grenades and 18 bottles acid from the residence of Mufti Izhar.
