DHAKA: A Dhaka court here on Monday deferred the hearing on charge framing against 38 BNP top leaders, including party’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, till October 30.
The Second Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Masud Sheikh issued the order in the morning.
The court also granted permanent bail to all accused including top leaders in the case filed with Ramna Thana for creating anarchy and disturbance by picketing, in March this year.
Among other accused of this case are BNP standing committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Abbas and Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, vice chairman Abdullah Al Noman, joint secretary generals Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed and Amanullah Aman, Barkatullah Bulu.
However, two more cases were also filed in this connection against some of other leaders and activists at that time.
