DHAKA: Communications minster Obaidul Quader on Tuesday said many people are violating traffic rules labeling the Member of Parliament’s (MP) stickers on their vehicles, they act like MP, but traffic police can check them whether they are real or fake.
He came up with the remarks while addressing a workshop titled “National Capacity Building Workshop on Sustainable and Inclusive Transport Development”, organized by UNESCAP, ADB and Roads and Highways Department at CIRDAP auditorium in the city.
The minster said, “When we go to the roads, we see lots of vehicle with MP’s sticker, inquiry are necessary whether they are real or fake.”
“Lots of fake journalists are also seen in roads, they move on the roads labeling the journalists’ sticker, he added.
Obaidul said, “My works is criticize more though I never loss my tolerance, there is no problem in criticism but it is better be constructive.”
Presided over by R&H chief engineer Mofizul islam Rajkhan, Road Division secretary MAN Siddique, among others, spoke at the function.
Police makers, officers, representative from development organizations, municipality mayors and representatives from transport sector participated in the workshop.
