DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday placed 10 Jamaat leaders, including former president of Shibir Dr Shafiqul Islam Masud, on a fresh two-day remand.
Metropolitan Magistrate Ataul Haque passed the remand order in response to fresh remand plea filed by police.
After completion of four-day remand, Sub-inspector Saiful Islam of Mohammadpur Thana produced them before the court.
On August 9, the accused leaders were arrested from a residence of Jakir Hossain Road in Mohammadpur.
Later, police filed a case against them with special power act.
Meanwhile, Chhatra Shibir leaders and activists brought out procession protesting the arrest and remand.
