DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Saturday sent nine Jamaat-e-Islami activists, including central executive member Dr Shafiqul Islam Masud, also former president of Chhatra Shibir.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mostafizur Rahman passed the order when Mohammadpur Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam produced them before the court after two-day remand in a case filed under Special Power Act.
On August 9, the accused leaders were arrested from a residence of Zakir Hossain Road in Mohammadpur of the city.
Later, police filed a case against them.
