DHAKA: Expressing concern over the killing of Channel I program presenter Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqui, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday said the people of the country are insecure during the regime of illegal incumbent Awami League government.
The BNP chief made the observation in a statement signed by BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Thursday.
She said, “The killing of Faruqui proved that murderer has been established in the country as an Islam devotee was killed by the miscreants.”
She also said, “Not only political leader but also the respected citizens not protected under the illegal government”.
The miscreants have been continuously doing this misdeed as the government cherished them, she lamented.
Khaleda demanded immediate arrest of the killer of Faruqui and capital punishment. She also expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members and well-wisher.
In another statement, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the country became a hell as the law and order are deteriorated.
