‘Law and order situation stable’

DHAKA: Indicating the murder of Maulana Farooqui and three people’s killing in Maghbazar, Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif on Friday said such incidents also happen in foreign countries.

These incidents do not prove that the law and order situation of the country is deteriorated, he demanded.

He made the assertions while visiting the preparation of AL’s several programs at Suhrawardy Uddyan in the city in afternoon.

The AL spokesperson also said we need to investigate whether these incidents were implemented by the war criminals of BNP or not to make the country unstable.

He also expected that the culprits involved with the incidents would be brought under trial and punished accordingly.

Pointing BNP’s tall talks about staging demonstrations, Hanif said they have turned into a laughing stock.

Metropolitan AL organizing secretary Shah-e-Alam Murad and Chhatra League president Baduzzaman Badi were accompanying him in the visit.
