RANGPUR: Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad, also special envoy to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has opined that the county is in extreme crisis.
“The country is in severe crisis. The people of the country want to get rid of the misrule of Awami League and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP),” he said.
Ershad was addressing wayside rallies at Taraganj and Paglapir areas during his Rangpur visit on Saturday.
He also told his audience that the stealing, snatching and killing have common scenario at present in the country.
Ershad said BNP has lost the people’s support. “Now they only depend on hollow shouting rather than demonstrations,” he said.
On the other hand, JP has now become well-organized and wants to become the main political party in the country, he claimed.
Ershad also said that JP is ready to participate in the next election if it is held within next March.
He added: “Our target is to gain 151 seats in the next general parliamentary elections.”
“People are now not living in good condition,” he said adding that his party leaders and activists to be prepared for midterm election anytime.
