AL rally begins at Suhrawardy

DHAKA: The rally called by ruling Awami League marking the National Mourning Day has started at Suhrawardy Uddyan in city.

The proceedings of the rally started through reciting from the holy scriptures of various religions around 3:30pm Saturday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to address the rally presided over by acting president of Dhaka City Awami League MA Aziz.

Senior AL leaders including Suranjit Sengupta, Matia Chowdhury, Advocate Sahara Khatun and Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya MP were among others present at the rally.
