DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday said the remarks of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over Khaleda Zia are dangerous and indecent.
The spokesperson for the party came up with the assertion while addressing an inaugural program of a photography exhibition at the National Press Club in city in the afternoon.
Fakhrul said Khaleda Zia, who struggled for a long time against dictatorships, is the most popular leader in Bangladesh.
Mentioning Prime Minister’s remark on Khaleda Zia as a killer and mentally sick, the BNP leader said these sorts of speeches not only goes against political manner but also very dangerous.
He said the people of the country are in dire condition.
Urging the PM, Fakhrul said the government should solve people’s problem not blame the opposition.
Meanwhile, he also urged the premier to stop delivering indecent speeches.
With Jatiyatabadi Sangskritik Sangstha (JSS) president MA Malek in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by BNP chairperson’s advisor Ahmed Azam Khan and BNP finance affairs secretary Abdus Salam.
