Mirza Abbas asks govt to quit

DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas, also Dhaka city convener, urged the government to quit realizing people’s pulse.

The BNP leader also said the party would continue non-violent demonstrations to restore democracy in the country.

He came up with the assertion while addressing a rally in city’s Suhrawardy Udyan on Thursday afternoon.

Mirza Abbas expressed hope that people would spontaneously join the peaceful demonstrations.

The people of the country now demand a free, fair and impartial election, he claimed.

Regarding judge impeachment, Mirza Abbas said the government cannot stop anything by formulating law.

Senior BNP and alliance leaders were also present at the program.
