GOPALGANJ: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay tribute at the grave of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, also founding President of Bangladesh, at Tungipara here on the National Mourning Day on Friday.

A helicopter carrying the premier will land here at 10:00am.

Jahangir Alam, personal secretary of the premier, made the disclosure through a fax message to Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner on Thursday.

The PM will first place floral wreaths at the grave of Bangabandhu then offer fateha and join a munajat in the morning.

Later she will inaugurate some developments works here.

Security has been beefed up in and around Tungipara, birth place of Mujib, where a number of forces of the elite force RAB, police, Army and intelligence agencies are deployed.
