3rd JS session ends Thursday

FROM NATIONAL PARLIAMENT: Third session of the 10th National Parliament will end Thursday.

Thirteen bills were tabled in the parliament during the session and five of those, including the much-talked-about the 16th Amendment Bill to Constitution were passed. 

After the amendment, according to the Article-96 of the 1972 Constitution allowed parliament to impeach SC judges for proven offenses or incapability. 

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury was presiding over the session and readout the President’s orders over session ending in fourteen working days. 

Earlier, the second session started on June 3 and ended on July 3.
