CHAPAINAWABGANJ: Hartal supporters vandalized at least 12 trucks in new truck terminal area of the district early Monday morning.

The incident took place in the area around 12:30pm during Jamaat-e-Islami’s last phase 24-hr hartal.

Drivers of the trucks told banglanews the goods-laden truck were coming from Dhaka-Chittagong. There was no problem in the way but when the trucks reached at Chapainawaganj, miscreants attacked the trucks with brick-chips, sticks and hurled cocktails.

Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Jasim Uddin told banglanews that no one informed the matter to police yet.
