DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday framed charges against three leaders of BNP in a case for obstructing police in discharging their duties.
The leaders are - BNP joint secretary general Amanullah Aman, Dhaka city BNP member secretary Habib-Un Nabi Khan Sohel and BNP leader Nazim Uddin Alam.
Metropolitan Magistrate Ataul Haque passed the indictment order after the hearing on Thursday.
The court also fixed December 11 for recording deposition of the witnesses.
The BNP leader's lawyer Joynul Abedin Mejbah confirmed the matter to banglanews.
On December 18, 2010, the accused tried to enter into VIP lounge to welcome BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. Meanwhile, police stopped them at one stage they attacked police and obstruct police duties.
Later, following the matter, Airport Thana Sub-Inspector Tofazzel Hossain filed the case.
