DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia is on her way to Jamalpur from Tangail to address a rally on Saturday afternoon.
Khaleda will address BNP-led 20-Party’s mass rally around 3pm at Jamalpur Zilla School ground.
In her speech in the rally, Khaleda Zia is likely to press home the demand for mid-term election under non-party caretaker government, stopping murder-kidnapping, cancellation of 16th amendment of the constitution.
Jamalpur BNP president Faridul Kabir Talukdar Shamim will preside over the rally.
Earlier, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia left Dhaka for Jamalpur district on Friday afternoon.
The BNP chief is scheduled to address a mass rally of local 20-party alliance in Jamalpur.
Khaleda Zia started the journey at 4:00pm from her Gulshan residence in the city and reached Jamuna Resort near Tangail’s Bangabandhu Bridge around 8:00pm.
