20-party’s Jamalpur rally begins

JAMALPUR: The mass rally, organized by BNP-led 20-party alliance, began at Zilla School ground, adjacent to Jamalpur stadium on Saturday afternoon.

With recitation from the Holy Quran, the rally started at 2:15pm, presiding over by Jamalpur BNP president Faridul Kabir Talukder.

BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Amanullah Aman, Khairul Kabir Khokon, 20-party alliance leaders are at the rally stage.  

From Saturday morning, thousands of 20-party alliance activists started gathering at Zilla School ground, the rally venue, where BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will address a mass rally. 

Using Bus, Truck, Tempu, Motorbikes, Van and Rickshaw, activists were seen moving towards the rally venue with banners, festoons and pictures of Khaleda Zia, Tarique Rahman and others leaders of the parties.

Earlier, rally venue became muddy due to heavy rainfall and as rain water stuck in whole rally field.

In her speech in the rally, Khaleda Zia is likely to press home the demand for interim election under non-party caretaker government, stopping murder-kidnapping, cancellation of 16th amendment of the constitution.
